Grinsell Speaks at International Language and Law Association Meeting in Kaunas, Lithuania

Partner Tim Grinsell spoke at the 7th meeting of the International Language and Law Association in Kaunas, Lithuania, which took place Sept. 3-5, 2025. The title of his presentation was "Are Questions Hearsay? A Semantic Analysis of Questions As Evidence." Grinsell argued that linguistic semantics can resolve doctrinal uncertainty about questions as hearsay evidence under U.S. law, particularly through theories of presupposition and alternative semantics.
